A piece of history from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Tons of copper was mined at one time, but those mines are now closed. Finding pieces in the ground to cut and polish into stones worthy of setting into jewelry is the work of some amazing rockhounds and gemstone cutters. The copper “stone” measures 10mm x 14mm. A pretty trim of copper surrounding the stone make this ring special. Size 7.5. Hand fabricated in sterling silver and copper in my Harbor Springs MI studio. One of a a kind.
