In 2000 Mary Ann opened her first retail store in northern Michigan, returning full circle to where she began after living in Santa Fe New Mexico for 29 years.
Personalized customer service, quality craftsmanship, exclusive designing and wearable jewelry are the foundations of her business. “Wearable jewelry is paramount for me because no matter how fantastic the design or technique employed, if it isn’t comfortable, it ends up sitting in a drawer somewhere.”
Most people don’t know that I am a fine art painter as well. My paintings express the beauty I see in the world and I ask the viewer to have a look, through an artists’ eyes.
Mary Ann earned a Bachelor of Fine Art and a Master of Fine Art from Michigan State University in painting and printmaking. A jewelry class pulled her beyond the painting studio and she has remained accomplished as a painter as well as a jeweler throughout her career. She continued her studies in Florence, Italy, Provence, France, the University of Arizona, Tucson, and Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Her retail store in Harbor Springs is now closed but she continues to create beautiful paintings and fine jewelry shown on this website. In addition, you may contact her for any commissions you have in mind.
